The death toll from COVID-19 in Italy has dropped again in the last 24 hours. On Friday, authorities announced 570 new deaths, up from 610 the day before.
The number of new COVID-19 cases also declined, after 3,951 were reported, while 4,204 cases were confirmed the day before.
The total number of deaths since the outbreak of pandemic on February 21 has reached 18,849, the Civil Defense Agency said. In total, there are 147,577 cases of infection in this country, a figure that ranks Italy after the United States and Spain.
