The most famous tennis tournament, the Wimbledon grand slam, has been canceled for the first time since World War II, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The tournament was to start on June 29 and end on July 12. The entire season in the grassy fields has been canceled and there will be no professional tennis tournament anywhere in the world at least until July 13th.
Wimbledon is the latest major tournament to be canceled after Euro 2020 and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which were postponed for a year.
The cancellation of the UK tour comes after the cancellation of the French Open in France, which was due to start in May but has been postponed for September.
