Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, held a phone conversation in which they agreed that the situation in the oil markets is in no country’s favor.
The official Kremlin announced that both presidents agreed that Russian and US energy officials should continue discussions on the situation created after the fall in global oil prices.
In this regard, President Trump on Monday called the price war between Russia and Saudi Arabia “crazy”. “There is no doubt that there is a reconciliation that the current situation in the oil market is not in the interest of our countries,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
Peskov declined to comment when asked if the two leaders had discussed Saudi Arabia during their phone call.
